A hydraulic timber press with combined side and top press jaws and a band frame with side-mounted band unit Cyklop CFH-1 V94Q for polyester band.
For this application, it is important to press the timber package before strapping. First, the package is side-pressed to bring the boards together, after which it is top-pressed to achieve the most compact package possible. This provides the best conditions for safely stacking the packages in the timber yard and during handling by slinging in the port. The Cyklop timber press type GF 112 MVB has been built for many years to meet the timber industry's tough demands, thus standing for robustness and reliability. The machine is designed and manufactured in Sweden with extensive experience.
Advantages:
Machine with friction welding, interval tensioning of the band, floating unit suspension of the band unit, short cycle time, adjustable press pressure, and high maximum press pressure of up to 12 tons. Press jaws with forced parallelism provide the best final shape and stability of the package. GF 112 MVB (8 tons/12 tons) is a very robust machine with few band hatches and springs, resulting in minimal spare parts to replace. The band unit is side-mounted and swing-out for easy multi-sided service access, with a closure unit of the quick-change system type.
An extra band frame can be mounted on the machine if maximum performance is desired. The machine then applies two bands simultaneously.
The machine can be delivered with various accessories for, for example, underlay, overlay, edge protection, and length groups.
For overlay, there are two variants of extended magazines: a loading station with 2 extra compartments (the machine holds a total of up to about 75 overlays depending on their height) and an automatic picking robot equipped with a large magazine with 6 to 20 compartments that loads a smaller buffer magazine.
For underlay, it is most common to use magazines with 4 compartments (up to 100 underlays depending on their height). For other requests, alternative solutions are available.
When the machine is equipped with an extra band frame, a cycle time of about 30 seconds/package is achieved, when it is equipped with 3 or 4 bands per package.
